On 25 February 2012 Ethiopian PEN will hold their first Writers’ Congress at the Italian Cultural Center in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Writers from Ethiopia will be joined by PEN International President john Ralston Saul and members from other PEN Centres, including Norwegian PEN Centre. At the congress there will be discussion of the challenges facing Ethiopian writers as well as strategic planning for the group.
